FameLab UK 2013 - FINALISTS ANNOUNCED
From September 2012 to January 2013 heats and regional finals have been taking place across the UK. The standard has been incredibly high and the judges sometimes at odds, but they could only choose one person in each regional final.
We’re getting ready to welcome the following Finalists to the UK National Final 23 April 2013 at the Bloomsbury Theatre in London:

Isabel Christie (University College London)
Elspeth Kenny (University of Sheffield)
John Kirby (Newcastle University)
Victoria Martindale (Oxford Brookes University)
David Mcnee (University of Aberdeen)
Josephine Mmojieje (Aston University)
Leon Vanstone (Imperial College London)
Sonia Watson (University of Aberdeen)
Jonathan Webb (University of Oxford)
They will be joined by:
Host: Russell Foster, Cheltenham Science Festival Chair and Professor of Circadian Neuroscience at the University of Oxford.
Compere: Quentin Cooper, science journalist and presenter of BBCs "Material world"
Judges:
Mark Lythgoe, Professor of Biomedical Imaging at University College London.
Jim Al-Khalili, theoretical physicist and Chair in the Public Engagement in Science at the University of Surrey.
Clare Matterson, Director of Medical Humanities and Engagement at the Wellcome Trust.
